A ROMNEY-CHRISTIE TICKET?

Spread The Love

Popular but inexperienced New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was criticized for passing on the opportunity to seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 2012.  But is Christie smarter than we think and holding a secret plan B?

By choosing not to run this time around, Christie saved himself a load of time, money and embarrassment by running in the circus atmosphere the current crop of GOP candidates are conducting.  Christie has been laying low, but he did emerge to publicly endorse the expected nominee Mitt Romney.   His early endorsement and promise to stay out of the race may actually pay off in dividends for the east coast governor.

Christie has made it abundantly clear he has no desire to run for president this year.  But when asked if he’d run for vice-president, he surprisingly said YES!  If Mitt Romney becomes the Republican nominee, sources say Gov. Christie is already on the short list to be considered as his vice-presidential running mate — and that is a smart move for Christie.

Christie could join Romney on the ticket as a potent helpmate.  If Romney wins the presidency, Christie would be Vice-President.  If Romney loses the presidency, Christie would be ushered to the front of the line and gift wrapped the nomination in 2016.  For Christie, it’s a win-win with very little investment and little to no risk.

And goodness knows Chrisitie likes to shoot off his big fat mouth, like he's some big bad somebody. <rolling>But something tells me that the Repub *base* won't be embracing that ticket.</rolling>
