Mitt Romney didn’t appear to have much respect for President Obama or the office of the presidency during this week’s debate, especially since he frequently got into the president’s face in an aggressive manner. Now it appears Romney’s eldest son is following in his dad’s disrespectful footsteps.
In an interview Wednesday on a North Carolina radio station, Tagg Romney said that he wanted to jump out of his seat at the debate and “take a swing at Obama” as the president repeatedly called out Mitt Romney for being untruthful. HUH?!??
“But you know you can’t do that because … there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him,” Tagg added. “They’re going to do everything they can do to try to make my dad into someone he’s not. We signed up for it. We’ve gotta kinda sit there and take our punches and then send them right back the other way.”
Since when did it become OK for ANYONE to threaten to “take a swing” at the President of the United States for simply having a different political belief? Instead of running for president, perhaps Mitt and his boys should invest in learning a little something about respect and manners!
