‘ROMNEYHOOD’ vs ‘OBAMALONEY’

Spread The Love

Negative rhetoric and a war of words is fueling a feud in the 2012 presidential election.

On Monday, President Obama coined the phrase “Romneyhood” to describe policies by Romney that Mr. Obama says taxes the poor to help the rich — or Robin Hood in reverse. But yesterday, Mitt Romney fired back with a self-created “play-on-words” of his own: “Obamaloney,” which is Romney’s way of accusing the president of making things up.

“He is serving up a dish that is in contradiction to the truth,” Romney said.

Have the political campaigns turned too negative too soon? Are people even paying attention prior to Labor Day? Are these verbal feuds and millions in campaign ads even worth it?
