ROMNEY’S HIDDEN CAMERA CONFESSION

Spread The Love

For weeks, Mitt Romney has been begging voters to believe he’s a friend to the Middle Class.  However, his words captured last night during what he thought was a private GOP political fundraiser, may have just shot that theory to hell — along with any remote chance he may have had for the presidency.

Slick Mitt spoke freely to a room of conservatives, hoping to impress them with his feelings on the election, his vast wealth, how much easier this election would be for him if he were latino — and his shocking thoughts about “Joe and Jane” average American:

“There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney said. “All right, there are 47% who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.”

“My job is is not to worry about those people,” he added. “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Victims?  They are entitled??  Not worry about those people??? WOW!!!

While Republicans cringed and spent most of last night unsuccessfully trying to put the fires out surrounding his controversial rant that has since gone viral on the Internet, the Obama campaign used the opportunity to point out why Mitt Romney is not good for middle America.

“It’s shocking that a candidate for President of the United States would go behind closed doors and declare to a group of wealthy donors that half the American people view themselves as ‘victims,’ entitled to handouts, and are unwilling to take ‘personal responsibility’ for their lives,” campaign spokesman Jim Messina said in a statment. “It’s hard to serve as president for all Americans when you’ve disdainfully written off half the nation.”

Romney was already 5-7 points behind the president in most major polls.  But history may one day look back at this moment of unguarded “free-speech” as his final nail in the coffin and the day his hopes for the presidency died.
