In an interview with RADAR MAGAZINE, Johnston said Palin resigned for financial reasons. “I think the big deal was the book (offer). That was millions of dollars,” he said, also suggesting that the 2008 campaign “got to her head.” But Johnston went further, saying rumors of trouble within the Palin marriage are indeed true. “Oh yeah, they have been having marriage trouble from day one.” For what it’s worth, Sarah Palin denies both angles of Levi’s claims, and is sticking to her original story that she resigned so as not to be a “lame duck” Governor and can better serve without being in office.
