Russia Problems Persist
For Donald Trump
Donald Trump may have spent the last week indulging in his own self-importance on the world stage, but a persistent pal was patiently waiting for him to touch back down on US soil: his Russia problem.
Politics
Make no bones about it, the Russian scandal didn’t magically disappear the moment Donald Trump left town. Despite his greatest hopes and wishes, Trump’s trip abroad only pressed the pause button on the scandal, as it was ready to resume the moment he returned. Now, he is back to face the music and scrutiny from Congress, a special prosecutor, the media, and an inquiring American public. Interestingly, reports from The White House are that Donald Trump is feeling despondent, lonely, and in over his head with the problem that just won’t go away.
Here’s the latest:
.
RUSSIA HAS ‘DEROGATORY’ INFO ON THE DONALD
According to a new report from 2 former intelligence officials and a congressional source, Russian government officials were overheard talking about potentially “derogatory” information they were holding on Donald Trump.
The Russian conversations were purportedly intercepted by US intelligence agents during the 2016 presidential campaign. The discussion centered on Russia’s claims that they held leverage over Trump’s inner circle and believed they “had the ability to influence the administration through the derogatory information,” which is believed to be of a financial and personal nature.
Could this be what Donald Trump has been trying to hide?

TEAM-TRUMP SHAKE-UP?
On Tuesday, White House Communications Director Mike Dubke resigned, in what is being called the first of an expected series of shake-ups inside Donald Trump’s White House.
Dubke, who served in his post for only 3 months, tendered his resignation just prior to Trump’s foreign trip. For the sake of continuity, he offered to stay on until Trump returned to Washington.
Dubke’s resignation is reportedly related to his distaste toward the fast-growing Russia scandal. It’s also a sign that not many of Washington’s elite are eager to line up to work for “The Donald.”

MICHAEL FLYNN: ‘I’M READY TO TALK!’
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn announced on Tuesday that he is now ready to cooperate and provide documents requested by the Senate intelligence committee.
Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr of North Carolina and Vice-chairman Mark Warner of Virginia made it known that they were prepared to hold Flynn in contempt of Congress if he continued withholding the documents, which likely influenced his revised decision.
Flynn’s lawyers informed the intelligence committee that he will respond to the first 2 subpoenas by June 6th. However, he wishes to first negotiate with the Senate committee before responding to any additional subpoenas.
Could this be the immunity deal Flynn has been seeking in order to sing like a canary to Congress?

SOMEBODY SAVE SEAN SPICER!
If you’ve never seen a deer in headlights, all you had to do was watch White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer speaking to the press on Tuesday.
In perhaps one of the worst press conferences in US history, Spicer was once again given the impossible task of trying (but failing) to defend the ever-changing whims and quirks of Donald Trump.
For example, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, and several other White House surrogates mutually agreed that their official position on Jared Kushner’s back-channel discussions with Russia would be to say that his actions were normal and totally fine. However, once “The Donald” got ahold of his mobile phone he ruined that message with a single tweet, claiming that Kushner never tried to set up any back-channel discussions at all. Because of “the big boss,” they were all caught contradicting each other.
Because of “the big boss,” they were all embarrassingly caught contradicting each other.
In another example, Spicer was directed (by Trump) to call all anonymous news sources “fake news” — except on Tuesday, when the story was a flattering piece from Fox News that also used anonymous sources. In TrumpWorld, when a story tells the truth, it’s fake. When a story delivers his “alternative facts,” it’s great. Needless to say, Spicer was tongue-tied trying to explain Trump’s double-standard of how all anonymous sources are fake one minute, but fully credible the next.
Stay tuned, folks — the Trump Russia Scandal will continue right after these important messages!

Your entire post is spot on DJ. …and to think he's only been in office for what ? 135…136 days. You really cannot make this stuff up. And you didn't even include in your post how he made an absolute mess of his European visit. The man's behavior, IMO, was beyond being a National embarrassment. It was downright disgraceful. Ignorant. …and sadly, totally Trump. Bu hey he kissed the a*…umm..rear-ends of the Saudis and the Israelis during his middle east visits so of course in his little juvenile mind the entire foreign trip was an "unbelievably historic success." But I digress. Trump is a reckoning for America; that's the only way I can make sense of his rise to power via the presidency. He represents the worst of who WE are..as a nation, as a people /a society..even Our culture. Our standing in the world will probably Never be the… Read more »
