SARAH PALIN BUTCHERS HISTORY
Poor Sarah Palin. She just can’t seem to get ANYTHING right.
During her recent bus trip through America, supposedly to learn about history and reconnect with the country, Sarah made a pit stop in Boston and was asked “What have you seen so far today and what are you going to take away from your visit?”
Sarah began to oddly ramble on about Paul Revere, saying she saw where he hung out as a teenager and all that. But then obviously recognizing she was way in over her head and had NO idea what she was talking about, the remainder of her response was a doozy:
“He who warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells, and uh, making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that uh, we were gonna be free and we were gonna be armed.” HUH????
The ride of Paul Revere had NOTHING to do with what Sarah Palin was talking about. Paul Revere was not “warning the British” as Sarah stated, but rather warned the Americans with the historic line “The British are coming, the British are coming!” There were also no “ringing those bells” as she exclaimed. Instead, lanterns were used to signal troop advancement; hence the slogan “One if by land, two if by sea” (meaning 1 or 2 lanterns were part of the signal). This information on the historic ride of Paul Revere is easily Googled for anyone needing a brush-up on the details — and it seems like Sarah should be first in line to look it up.
But leave it to Madam Palin to always play the role of the victim. When she returned to work amongst her conservative colleagues at FAKE FOX NEWS, she was asked on air about her historical gaffe. But instead of just admitting she’s a functional illiterate, Palin said that someone threw her a “Gotcha” type of question to make her look bad. HUH?????
May I remind you of the original question: “What have you seen so far today and what are you going to take away from your visit?”
Poor Sarah Palin. Does this woman know ANYTHING???
`
<span>Yes. I'd heard about this a few days ago and my initial reaction was… …and THIS is the person now running the Republican Party (via her supporters) and running circles around the American political press…lol. Too funny. Meanwhile in other related news: Palin: “I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way," the former Alaska governor told the U.K.-based publication. "I am just hoping Mrs. Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her.” Umm…welp. Doesn't sound like THAT meeting is going to happen…… The Guardian: It would appear that the reasons go deeper than Thatcher's frail health. Her allies believe that Palin is a frivolous figure who is unworthy of an audience with the Iron Lady. […] An ally of Thatcher's stated: "Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts." Full Story:… Read more »
