SARAH PALIN: ‘I Won’t Run!’

Spread The Love

Sarah Palin may not be as dumb as some may think.  Yesterday, she announced she will NOT be a candidate for president in 2012.

The former Alaska governor, reality star, Fox News commentator and 2008 vice presidential nominee, said she opted against a White House run because she believes “that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office — from the nation’s governors, to congressional seats and the presidency.”  But it’s more likely that Madam Palin saw the writing on the wall, when a recent poll said 60% of Republicans would not support her if she decided to run.

And so, with Chris Christie and now Sarah Palin officially out of the running, it appears the GOP contest is set in stone.  Now Sarah Palin can go back to simply being a “personality”— making public appearances, commenting on Fox News, avoiding interviews from the press and saying whatever she wants, whenever she wants, without consequence or recourse.

<span><span>Of course she's NOT running for President. She never was. But her fans and the American "news" media kept this National nightmare alive since 2008_smh.        The truth is, ALL I ever needed to know about Palin, I (along with my mother) learned watching (listening to) her during the first 10-12 minutes of her "introduction" speech upon having been thrust onto our National political stage by a desperate and Cynical Old man (and U.S. Senator ta boot) determined to "Win" the Presidency by ANY means necessary.        That stunningly ignorant, and IMO, clinically disturbed woman would have been but a heart-beat way from the most powerful position on Earth. And John McCain, and the GOP hierarchy were JUS.FINE. with that possibility!?! That ruthless and dangerous gamble told THE WORLD all anyone needed to know about McCain and the Repub hierarchy and "elites." They cared NOTHING about the future of this country.        Fast forward:        So NOW, after 3 YRS of the MEDIA having provided Palin with a global platform to strut her stuff, DISrespecting… Read more »

And on a somewhat related note:Apparently Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has had enough of the growing chatter among Repubs wanting him to be the 2012 VP nominee. Yesterday, Rubio decided to SHUT.DOWN. and and ALL rumors and speculation about the matter.    ABC News: Wed. Oct 5, 2011Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) has been coy in the past about the prospect of being the Republican Party's VP nominee. But today he was far more definitive than he has been stating that he is not going to be the 2012 Republican VP nominee. When asked at the Washington Ideas Forum at the Newseum in Washington DC, Rubio repeated TWICE for emphasis, “I am not going to be the Vice Presidential nominee. I am not going to be the Vice Presidential nominee.”Asked during the forum if he would turn down an offer if the Republican presidential nominee asks him to, Rubio responded, “Yea, I believe so,” adding again, “the answer is gonna be no.”   [….]http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/10/i-am…Christie… Read more »
