A Pennsylvania man and his son are in jail after making a series of threats against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, her family and lawyer.
47-year-old Craig Christy and his 19-year-old son Shawn Christy were arrested last week in Pennsylvania and have since been indicted by an Alaska grand jury. The men are accused of calling Palin’s attorney more than 400 times between August 1st and August 9th and leaving profanity-laced messages, with threats of sexual assault, kidnappings and death threats against Palin and her family.
“I’m going to ransom your f**king children. By the time I’m done you’re going to be nobody,” one of the messages allegedly said. Palin and her attorney secured a restraining order against both men. But in spite of the restraining order, the men continued their threats, even mentioning in one message that they knew they were in violation of the restraining order.
No motive has been discovered for their actions.
