If you’ve been wondering exactly what happened to cause the marriage of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver to fail, wonder no more. Arnold has confessed!
Late last night, Schwarzenegger put all curiosity to an end, with a public admission that his marriage to Shriver collapsed over an affair he had with a member of their personal household staff. But there’s more: he also fathered a child with this woman. Still more: the affair and the birth of their lovechild was over 10 years ago!
Arnold always knew about the child and has in fact been providing financial support to the mother and to the child, who is now 10-years-old. The affair and the child were both prior to his first term as governor. According to Arnold, he wanted to complete his political desires as Governor of California before coming clean to his wife, which is exactly what he did. Oh, and incidentally, the staff member continuously worked for the family in their home for 20 years, and only retired this past January, with her exit perfectly timed with Arnold’s confession to Maria. Hmmm…
When Schwarzenegger’s term as governor ended earlier this year, he finally told his wife the secret he has been hiding for a decade — and that is when she moved out of their estate in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles, effectively ending the marriage.
In a statement, Schwarzenegger made the following public apology, but also realizes his reputation is likely tarnished beyond repair:
“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry. I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. “
DAMN this is crazy!! Not only did he cheat but he had a baby with this woman. THEN he kept it quite for ten years. Sorry Arnold I don't see anyway out of this one. I guess they don't call him the Terminator for nothing.

(rolling my eyes at the sheer absurdity of that claim) Given ALL of the pure TRASH that has come to light regarding the *behaviors* of so many Repub politicians over the past 25-30 yrs I'd say it's past TIME for that Party to STHU about that claim.
