SECRET SERVICE SEX SCANDAL

Spread The Love

The U.S. Secret Service is involved in an international sex scandal that has embarrassed the agency and angered the White House.

Secret Service agents were in Columbia, South America to accompany President Obama to the Summit of the America’s.  However, several agents who were having a “summit” of their own have caused a bit of controversy.

Prostitution is legal in Columbia and agents took full advantage of the opportunity, bringing hoards of women back to their hotel for some extra-curricular activities. But when one agent was dissatisfied with the “services” and refused to pay, the prostitute refused to leave the hotel and called police.  Local police called the U.S. embassy, who in turn called the State Department. Now, 11 special agents and Uniformed Division officers have been placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

“The Secret Service demands more from its employees and these expectations are met and exceeded every day by the vast majority of our workforce,” said Paul Morrissey, an assistant director with the Secret Service who tried to defend the agency. “This incident is not reflective of the behavior of our personnel as they travel every day throughout the country and the world performing their duties in a dedicated, professional manner.”

But Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., can’t believe agents would jeopardize part of the security zone being established for the president’s visit.

“They cannot put themselves in compromising position where they’re open to be blackmailed or threatened,” King said. “Nor should they be bringing prostitutes into basically a security zone 48 hours before the President of the United States is arriving.”

Although the agents did not commit a crime, since prostitution is legal in Colombia, they are being investigated for dereliction of duty.  The White House has refused to comment.
