Once the doctor has done a virtual examination of you, s/he can call in a prescription to your local pharmacy, schedule you for an in-office visit, or even refer a specialist.  This service can handle simple matters such as colds, flu, allergies, or even more complex matters, and prevents you from having to trek down to the doctor’s office and sit for an hour, just to be given a prescription you could have gotten from the comfort of your own bedroom.

I am sorry but I don't understand why people try to do everything virtually. There are just somethings you don't do virtually because they can't be done. Seeing a doctor virtually is dangerous because you could have a serve condition that requires a doctor's immediate attention. It only takes a moment for an ache, pain, or a weird feeling to lead to something deadly.
My main fear is that poor people who can't afford a doctor will try to use this and end up worse off.
