Sex Scandal For Former Speaker Hastert
What’s next for former U.S. Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, now that he’s been indicted in a sex scandal involving millions of dollars and a former male student?

The 73-year-old Republican was indicted late last week for withdrawing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash in small increments so as to evade reporting rules on large bank movements, then lying to the FBI about the money.
According to the federal indictment, Hastert paid the money to a former male student as compensation for past sexual misconduct while Hastert was a high school coach and teacher in Yorkville, IL.  Hastert promised the man $3.5 million as hush money, in a failed attempt to maintain his conservative persona and base.
“The secret was big enough in his mind that he was willing to pay millions of dollars,” said Jeffery Cramer, senior managing director of Kroll Investigations and former federal prosecutor in Chicago, who is not involved in the case.
In light of the scandal, Wheaton College, the Christian liberal arts college in Illinois where Hastert graduated, has removed his name from its policy center.  The J. Dennis Hastert Center for Economics, Government and Public Policy is being renamed and all traces of Hastert are being replaced.  Hastert has also resigned from the board of advisers of the former Hastert Center, as well as  from the Washington lobbying firm Dickstein Shapiro.
It’s unfortunate how so many conservatives tow the Republican line and pretend to be heterosexual, then pay out millions in hush money and/or break the law when their gay secrets become public.

I agree DJ. It is most unfortunate. And the stories just keep coming (SEE the Duggar family scandal).
It appears, when it comes to the party of "Family Values, " many of the Men tend to fall into one of the following DL groups:
1. Gay..
2. Pedophile
3. Ephebophile
4. Adulterer
5. Or some combination of the above.
And what really makes this all the more unsettlling is the fact that many of those fraudulent, hypocritical and deeply screwed-up men hold professional positions of Authority and Power, where their words and deeds can..AND DO…directly effect the lives of 10s of thousands, 100s of thousands, even millions of people.
