SEXY JOURNALIST vs NY JETS
As the old saying goes: “Boys will be boys.” But one female television journalist is crying foul, claiming that members of a professional NFL sports team took the old saying too far.
Last week, Ines Sainz, a beautiful, young correspondent from Mexico’s TV Azteca, attended a New York Jets practice to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez. But when the shapely Sainz showed up wearing extremely tight fitting jeans, stiletto heels and a low-cut skimpy top, let’s just say it didn’t take long for members of the New York Jets to forget all about football.
During a portion of practice open to the media, Jets head coach Rex Ryan and defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman purposely overthrew passes that would land near Sainz, causing players to go near her to retrieve the ball — and get a closer look. Later in the locker-room, several players were accused of hoots and hollers when Sainz walked in. And according to her, she was “dying of embarrassment.”
Publicly, members of the New York Jets organization apologized for their behavior, realizing many would view it as sexist. But privately, they held on to the belief that if Sainz didn’t want the extra attention, she shouldn’t have shown up to an all-male football locker-room dressed so provocatively. But Sainz countered, saying her choice of attire is her usual manner of dressing, and members of the Jets should have been more professional and treated her like the professional journalist that she is. Who’s right?
All I know is if this lady came into my locker room I'm probably gonna act the same way. I'm all for treating women with respect. But she can't be that stupid to think these men weren't gonna be men. If you don't want men looking at you don't dress like you going to the strip club.
