SHERROD vs BREITBART
Sherrod, the former USDA employee who was used as a pawn to make a point by the conservative blogger Breitbart, has been a staple in the news after Breitbart edited an old speech by Sherrod and used it in a public spat he was having with the NAACP. Now, Sherrod plans to get even with the man who cost her a job and has turned her life upside down.
“I will definitely do it,” Sherrod said referring to her planned legal action while at an appearance before the National Association of Black Journalists convention in San Diego. Breitbart “had to know that he was targeting me,” she added. “At this point, he hasn’t apologized. I don’t want it at this point, and he’ll definitely hear from me.”
Breitbart has not responded to the pending legal threat, but did say he released the Sherrod video because he believes it shows the NAACP itself tolerates racist behavior within its ranks — an accusation that came about once the civil rights group made a similar charge against the conservative Tea Party movement. “This was not about Shirley Sherrod,” Breitbart said.
But when his actions caused her to lose her job, it became TOTALLY about Shirley Sherrod. Now, she intends to make it TOTALLY about Andrew Breitbart in a court of law.
Good I want this guy to get what he deserves. But I'm wondering how this makes her look since she first sued the Agriculture department and now Breitbart.
