Yes, it is still very common to see women leave their purse in the shopping cart while they shop, thinking it’s safe because they’re right there.
I carry a small-to-mid-size purse when I leave my house. And sometimes I do put my purse in my shopping cart. BUT I always keep my hands on the strap and whenever I step away from my shopping cart I always take my purse with me.
