Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to now-former FBI Director James Comey: Shut up or I will embarrass you with secret tapes!

In perhaps one of the most unpresidential moves ever, Donald Trump has stooped to playing schoolyard bully by threatening the man he just fired.
“James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” Trump tweeted on Friday, adding further fuel to the fire of what is being called his worst week ever.
What exactly does Trump mean by his threat to Comey? Why would he have recordings of private conversations with the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation? Additionally, if Trump is as innocent as he claims and if he never colluded with Russia in their hacking of the 2016 presidential election, why would he want Comey to shut up?
Inquiring minds want to know. More importantly, US congressional leaders want to know.
On Sunday, lawmakers delivered their own stern message to Donald Trump: If you actually have tapes of private conversations with James Comey, turn them over to us ASAP or else those tapes will be subpoenaed.
During a Sunday appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said the White House must “clear the air” about whether there are any taped conversations.
“You can’t be cute about tapes. If there are any tapes of this conversation, they need to be turned over,” Graham said.
Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah echoed similar sentiments. During an appearance on the “Fox News Sunday” program, Lee said if such tapes exist, it is “inevitable” they will be subpoenaed if The White House refuses to release them. He also added a thinly-veiled suggestion to Trump that recording conversations in The White House is “not necessarily the best idea.”
As for the Democrats, they are livid at Trump’s attempts to thwart the FBI Russia probe.
During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” program, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said that Trump must immediately provide Congress with any tapes and warned that destroying existing tapes would violate the law. He also added that Senate Democrats may refuse to vote on a new FBI director until a special prosecutor is named to investigate Trump’s potential ties to Russia.
“To have that special prosecutor, people would breathe a sigh of relief because then there would be a real independent person overlooking the FBI director,” Schumer said.

Trump’s surprise firing of James Comey last week combined with his threats for Comey to shut up or else, has Republicans shaking in their boots and Democrats smelling blood in the water. The thinking is that if Trump is 100% innocent, it makes no sense for him to want Comey to shut up instead of speak out and clear his name.
As for James Comey, he is making it clear that he’s “not worried about any tapes” of conversations between him and Donald Trump, and that “if there is a tape, there’s nothing he is worried about” that could be on it.
Not surprisingly, many are speculating if such Trump-Comey tapes actually exist, or if the threat was Trump’s sloppy attempt to intimidate the former FBI director. Nevertheless, Wikileaks has offered $100,000 to anyone who can provide them with a Trump-Comey tape.
What is Donald Trump trying to hide? Why does he believe telling Comey to shut up to the media will somehow prevent him from speaking under oath to congress? Are the wheels already in motion for a “Nixonesque” end to Donald Trump?

Trump lies so much who knows if any such tapes exist?
But even if he had taped his conversations with Comey (or anyone else for that matter) I think it'd be a safe bet that those tape would most likely serve to INDICT Trump himself. Let's face it the guy isn't even close to being the brightest bulb in the pack and he's totally incompetent. Just look at ALL of the self-inflicted damage he's done to his sham of a presidency in just 3-4 months time.
