The United States government is officially shutdown for business. As the blame-game begins, whose fault is it?
Top News Today
On Friday night at midnight, Congress failed to reach an agreement to keep the government up and running. So, the government shutdown. This now means no social security checks will be mailed. None of the men and women in the US Military will be paid. Federal parks and landmarks will not operate — and more.
So, who’s responsible for the shutdown? According to Donald Trump: THE DEMOCRATS.
HUH???
Although Republicans control ALL branches of government (White House, House of Representatives, and Senate), the party with the least amount of power in all of Washington is supposedly to blame for the shutdown??? Yeah, right!
Saturday was the 1 year anniversary of the Trump inauguration. In celebration of the anniversary, Republicans handed Trump a government shutdown, while women in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and various points across the country threw him a “party” of sorts with a 2018 version of last year’s Women’s March. So, where was “The Donald” amid all the weekend’s festivities? Interestingly, 3 days into perhaps the biggest domestic crisis of his presidency, Trump has been radio silent and surprisingly on the sidelines watching a legislative process on Capitol Hill from 16 blocks away. Although he briefly surfaced to tweet that Republican lawmakers should change the rules to their favor so that he can get his way, Trump hasn’t been seen in public since the shutdown began.
SHUTDOWN DOUBLE-STANDARD
For Donald Trump to blame Democrats and not himself or his own party for the shutdown is laughable — particularly since Trump told Fox News in 2013 that the blame for a government shutdown ultimately goes to the president.
Yes, Trump criticized President Barack Obama during the 2013 government shutdown for failing to “lead,” “get everyone in a room,” and “make a deal.”
“Problems start from the top, and they have to get solved from the top, and the President’s the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room, and he’s got to lead,” Trump said. “And he [Barack Obama] doesn’t do that, he doesn’t like doing that, that’s not his strength. And that’s why you have this horrible situation going on in Washington. It’s a very, very bad thing and it’s very embarrassing worldwide.”
So, if Mr. Obama was to blame in 2013 for failing to “lead,” “get everyone in a room,” and “make a deal,” why is Trump not to blame under the same circumstances in 2018???

By allowing a government shutdown, Donald Trump gambled that the public would exonerate him and his gullible GOP’ers from responsibility. Wrong again, Donald!
According to a new national ABC News/Washington Post poll, 48% of those surveyed said they blame Trump and the GOP while 28% blame Democrats. Another survey by Quinnipiac University national poll found 32% blame Republicans, 21% Trump and 34% Democrats.
“In the public’s eyes this will be another divisive moment, another moment of unease,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll. “If you’re someone facing a 2018 election, any kind of chaos and unease is going to hurt you. And if you’re a Republican, which controls the House, the Senate and the presidency, you may be more vulnerable.”
Hmm… powerful words.
So, who do you blame for the Government Shutdown of 2018?
So it turns out the lying Poseur in the oval office -who’d long claimed he was a *master deal-maker* – couldn’t negotiate an actual deal (not a legitimate one anyone) if his life depended on it!
Who knew?! Lol. I kid, Of course, many of us already knew. The guy is a world-class LOSER. Full stop. And his presidency reflects just that.
His attacks against Obama are/and have always been rooted in jealousy, envy and pure hatred of Obama for being ALL of the things that Trump can never be so Trump routinely engages in psychological projection which is so obvious it’s pitiful.
As for who is most to blame for this *Shutdown*..? Trump and the Repubs.
