Meet 81-year-old Laverne Everett, who decided to throw caution to the wind and experience her lifelong dream of skydiving. But Laverne’s dream quickly turned into a nightmare when things went horribly wrong during her maiden attempt.
It seems that Laverne had second thoughts upon departing the aircraft. At the last second she clung to the plane doors in fright, which put her in a bad position and allowed her to slip from her harness when falling from the aircraft. She was then left literally dangling in free-fall with the tandem instructor holding on to her for dear life.
Laverne did land safely, but not without coming within inches of sure death. If this video doesn’t make you RE-consider jumping out of a plane, nothing will!

The truth is, even if for some reason I HAD to jump out of a plane I'd be in big trouble because just the thought, alone, makes me tremble :-[ !And at 81 yrs of age, "granny" really needs to get somewhere and *siddown.*
