It appears that Rush's *NOT-an-actual-apology* apology AIN'T playing too well with more than a few women across this great country of ours, even among "conservative" women.Politico: "Poll: Rush Limbaugh’s numbers down with GOP"http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0312/73621.h…And (repeating myself yet again) one need NOT see a poll to know as much.I honestly think it's probable that Rush long ago lost the fan-base of the majority of SoCON women, given that he's made many extremely offensive misogynistic comments over the years. However, when it comes to the husbands, fathers, brothers and sons of many of those "conservative" women? Well THAT's another matter, especially among the Christianists. Not only are many_if not most_of those soCON Christianist MEN still loyal supporters of Rush's brand of *Hater's* politics, many of those men are revealing their TRUE *colors* (if you will) thoughout the right-wing blogosphere today, regarding women. Something else I meant to mention….. I don't agree with those calling for Rush to be taken off the air. Whether we like it or not, even Rush Limbaugh has a *Right* to free speech. And the more he talks the more it hurts the Repubs. But here's what I hope will be the eventual consequences of his behavior: Rush, like darn near ALL so-called "conservatives," is always yammering on about "let the Free Market decide, who survives and who dies" in the money-making world. If enough advertisers dump him, the free market will have indeed dedided his fate.

Okay. Let me give it another try.... This may be wishful thinking on my part BUT it seems, to me, that after nearly 30 YEARS of Rush spewing the most disrespectful and incendiary rhetoric on right-wing radio (and getting away with it) this year, 2012, may finally mark the BEGINNING of the professional END of that nasty, little, VULGAR man (and he's done it to himself). Time will tell.But I think this also speaks to a much larger and more distrubing issue of how too many men, "conservative" men, in particular STILL view Women, in general. Notice that not one Repub presidential candidate had the courage to STEP UP and repudiate Limbaugh's HIGHLY offensive comments aganist Ms. Fluke. NOT. ONE. Are they afraid of Rush? Yes. Tthat's obvious. But I also think there's more to it. I've noticed over the years that "conservative" MEN seem to Hate, or at least have a great deal of disdain, for women. Judging by their own words AND actions, it's as if "Conservative" men simply TOLERATE women. And to be fair, I've heard some pretty disgustingly misogynistic crap freely fall from the lips of MEN on the "Left" as well. Let me be clear. I'm equally appalled by it no matter WHO does it. But Rush, in particular, is in a sewer-league all by himself when it comes to spewing ALL manner of Hateful filth and his dominance in right-wing world. That it has taken this long for Rush to finally be held accountable (to SOME degree) for the hateful filth he's been routinely spewing FOR DECADES is, IMO, to America's shame. That it's taken ADVERTISERS to do it (hold him accountable) is, IMO, to the GOP's shame and I truly believe it will cost that party in November AND beyond.
