Son Sues Parents For Pizza Franchise
A 32-year-old Brooklyn man is suing his parents, claiming they didn’t love him enough, that they are the cause of him being homeless and jobless, and that they should mortgage their possessions and give him $200,000 to open a Domino’s Pizza franchise!
Bernard Bey has filed a self-written lawsuit in Brooklyn court, accusing his parents of causing him mental anguish and for making him feel “unloved and beaten by the world.”
“If you have kids, you’re expected to love your children,” Bey told NBC News. “You want the best for your children.”
Bey, who has spent time in jail and is now homeless, believes his parents are at the root of his problems and wants them to accept the responsibility of his troubles. “I feel like my parents should want the best for their children and grandchildren so we have something to pass down for generations so we don’t have to live like this,” he said.
Despite the fact that Bey’s parents live in public housing, he still wants them to come up with a way to give him money to open a pizza franchise. Bey’s stepfather, Bernard Manley, who is named in the suit, had some choice unprintable words for his stepson. But Bey is not deterred, saying he is willing to drop the lawsuit if his family will simply sit down at the dinner table with him.
“Let’s work together, and definitely, I’ll drop the suit,” he said.
Does he have a point, or is this man just plum crazy?
