Those were the words of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday, who called ‘The Donald’s’ bluff and formally canceled the presidential State of the Union address previously scheduled for next Tuesday. Actually, Trump dared the House Speaker to cancel the annual SOTU address, somehow convincing himself that she wouldn’t dare. Well, she dared!
Late Wednesday afternoon, White House officials were scrambling to figure out an alternative venue for their boss to give his big speech. They considered a campaign-style rally in an arena loaded with Trump supporters, an invited presentation in the East Room of The White House, and even a formal address from the Oval Office. However, by Wednesday night when Trump was said to have thrown a hissy fit that someone actually told him no, he decided to postpone the SOTU address until after the government reopens — just as Speaker Pelosi had originally suggested.
Donald Trump has been holding 800,000 federal workers hostage for a month now over a flippant promise he made to his base some years ago to build a magic wall that would supposedly keep Mexicans out of America. The original idea was for a concrete wall to span the entire border between the US and Mexico. Oh, and (according to Trump) Mexico was going to pay for it. Since then, the wall has morphed into a barrier of see-thru steel slats that would only be erected along “certain portions” of the border between the US and Mexico. Oh, and (according to Trump) US taxpayers are now going to have to pay for it.
What good is a wall that provides various access points along the border for anyone to simply walk around it, you ask? None at all. In fact, even a solid concrete barrier is no match for a desperate undocumented immigrant seeking refuge in the US.
A group of 118 mostly Guatemalan asylum seekers proved as much earlier this week when they used a common ladder to simply scale an already-existing wall near Yuma, Arizona.
Customs and Border Protection officers released security-camera footage of the incident on Wednesday evening, which showed a smuggler providing ladder assistance to the group before disappearing into the night. Since US officials could not cross into Mexico to stop the illegal passage, they were forced to wait until the group of mostly families had jumped over the wall before rounding them up and taking them in for processing.
Still, with continuous blowback from conservative commentators who have warned Trump to either “Build That Wall” or face enormous political consequences, ‘The Donald’ has remained steadfast to his demand that he’ll continue to hold the US government and its workers hostage until he gets what he wants.
Well, on Wednesday, Donald Trump met his match.
If Trump will continue his temper tantrum and keep the government closed over a (now proven) useless border wall just to get his way, Speaker Pelosi will close the US House of Representatives to a presidential SOTU address until Trump wises up and reopens the government.

Look out, Donald. There’s a new sheriff in town who doesn’t work for you and who doesn’t have to do whatever you say.

For all those Dems who tried to push Pelosi out they need to go sit down somewhere. This lady just proved she has balls of steel by beating Trump at his own game. Here is a man who has no political background and is use to everybody doing whatever he tells them. Nancy just gave him a civic lesson and like DJ said she proved she does not work for him.
