Didn’t the Dems know what was at stake BEFORE they decided to go for the vote to call witnesses?

You’re darn skippy they did. So then why even bother to do it in the first place? Just playing games?

Naah. Just playing Us.

Democrats were smart to drop the witness challenge. They would have been entangled in legal maneuvers for months if they proceeded. Did you know a witness from the last impeachment trial is still using legal tricks to avoid giving a deposition? For a trial already decided witnesses would have froze out the Biden agenda and tied up the Covid bill. I think it was wise they avoided that road.

I’m not given to anger quickly or easily. I’ve never been impulsive. People say and do things in anger all the time and live to regret it. So it really takes a lot for me to come to a decision to wash my hands of someone and/or of a situation.

As I processed the meaning of the Dems caving on calling witnesses, I took some deep breaths, waited for about 15 minutes and then I sent a message to the PA Democratic Party; to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and to Senate Majority Leader. Chuck Schumer, expressing my anger and outrage at the party and its leadership.

They may never read my message. Or if they read it they may not give a d*mn. So be it. In the conclusion of my message I promised that I will NOT vote for another Democrat until I see REAL change within that party. And I mean it.
