Like Truth said it is a sad topic but important. Now second, I don’t know about the protests. We have been marching for fifty years and alot of times they don’t even care. They marched inside some mall in St. Louis and all the city did was send the police to make sure nothing happened. But they don’t care. So I don’t know how much difference it is doing. I did notice a lot more white people were in this march so who knows. Maybe Truth is right that more whites is all it needs. I guess we will have to see. As for the reason I am just tired. Tired of another black person getting killed by police. That has to end.

So your questions area as follows:

1. Are police correct to claim that they are justified in their shootings?

When, and only when, concrete and IRREFUTABLE evidence bares out that claim. Otherwise the answer is No. It’s First-degree Murder. Period.

But I must also add this troubling side-note: I do not understand WHY there a High-speed chase to begin with? Did Mr. Smith take off running in his car when the police lights signaled for him to pull-over? If he wasn’t doing anything illegal, why did he run?

2. Are demonstrators making a difference by marching and protesting?

Yes. But only if more and more WHITE Americans join the Peaceful protests…especially Young White Americans. The truth is, Black and brown protesters alone won’t cut it. This is still a White-dominant country where Racism and White supremacy reign supreme. For any actual progress to be made there must be Significant support from White Americans across this country.

3. Will the seemingly regular practice of blacks being killed by white police officers ever change, or is it here to stay?

Again. It will depend on significant support from White Americans. Without their support WE (Black America) are in for many more sorrwoful days ahead.

But I must also add: Until WE (in Black America) collectively are just as hurt and Outraged at the loss of Black lives at the hands of Blacks who murder Us at 10X the level of cop-killings then WE are disingenuous and selective Hypocrites at best. And THAT to me is the biggest tragedy of all.
