Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer and fixer, admitted in court on Thursday that he had engaged in negotiations to build a tower in Moscow for Mr. Trump well into the 2016 presidential campaign, far later than previously known.

Mr. Cohen said he discussed the status of the project with Mr. Trump on more than three occasions and briefed Mr. Trump’s family members about it. He also admitted he agreed to travel to Russia for meetings on the project.

Here he goes again thinking he is king. Trump doesn’t want democracy. He wants what Russia and China have, authoritarian rule. He wants to do all his mess and get away with it then report only what he wants said. But that is not how it works here so he can forget the pipe dream.

“Cohen pleads guilty for {LYING} to Congress about contacts with Russians”

The plea from Cohen marks the first time he has been charged by Mueller as part of the special counsel’s investigation into Russian election interference and possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Moscow.

The Journal reported that Cohen pleaded guilty to making a false statement about the effort to build a Trump Tower in Moscow during the 2016 presidential campaign while testifying before Congress. He also made false statements about the timing of the project, according to the newspaper.

ABC News noted that Cohen made the misstatements while testifying before two congressional intelligence committees in 2017.

The US has always been and will always be a democracy. It doesn’t need a state-run news media to serve as the mouthpiece of Donald Trump. After all, isn’t that what Twitter has already become for him? […] – DJ

Yes. Twitter and Faux News….those are his “state-run media.” And given the news that just broke within the hour the little “wannabe dictator” is gonna need Twitter and Faux to push his bullsh*t into high gear.

I’m at work watching it unfold online. Michael Cohen just stuck a knife into Trump’s world by pleading “GUILTY” to LYING to Congress about Trump’s business dealings with Russia.

Of course Trump will try like h*ll to play all this down. His supporters and Repub sycophants will PRETEND that none of this matters. But ALL of them (including Trump) know darn well that it’s highly likely now that Mueller has uncovered quite a bit of concrete evidence against Trump and family.

I think it highly likely now that someone in the Trump family will be indicted – along with perhaps Trump himself just as soon as he leaves office whether he resigns or is impeached.
