STAY OUT OF NYC!

Spread The Love
Not long ago, President Obama had some rather choice words for fellow democrat and current Governor of New York, David Paterson:  DO NOT RUN!  But now, Paterson has come forward with a few choice words of his own for Mr. Obama and his administration’s plans to try 9/11 suspects in Manhattan:  STAY OUT OF NYC!

Paterson’s words on Monday criticizing the Obama administration’s 9/11 trial plans made him one of few Democrats to openly stand against the President, which underscores his ongoing beef with the White House.  “This is not a decision that I would have made,” Paterson said. “New York was very much the epicenter of that attack; over 2,700 lives were lost.  It’s very painful.  We’re still having trouble getting over it. We still have been unable to rebuild that site, and having those terrorists tried so close to the attack is going to be an encumbrance on all New Yorkers.”

Gov. Paterson has not been alone in his criticism.  A number of Republicans have also assailed the decision, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is considering his own run for governor next year.  But many other Democrats have come out largely supportive in defending the president.  One very interesting show of support came from former Republican turned Independent Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has supported the administration, saying, “It is fitting that 9/11 suspects face justice near the World Trade Center site where so many New Yorkers were murdered.”

The White House had no comment regarding Mr. Paterson’s remarks.

Whether or not the 9/11 suspects are actually tried in New York, I must say that Paterson strikes me as NOT-too-bright. His job performance as Governor has been nothing short of abysmal, to say the least_and now he sides with the likes of Rudy JILLiani, that other "NOT-TOO-BRIGHT" fella??? HAH! Yeah okay.
