Stop Whining:
Obama Tells Trump
Hey, Donald Trump! The President of the United States has a message for you: STOP WHINING! Mr. Obama wants the Republican nominee for president to quit his cry-baby act, quit pointing fingers, and take responsibility for his campaign’s failures.
Politics
Mr. Obama’s admonition to “The Donald” came Tuesday during a Rose Garden press conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at the White House.
“One of the great things about America’s democracy is that we have a vigorous, sometimes bitter political contest,” the president said. “And when it’s done, historically, regardless of party, the person who loses the election congratulates the winner, confirms our democracy and we move forward. That’s how democracy survives.”
Mr. Obama said it’s time for Trump to realize “there’s something more important than any individual campaign.” He added: “I have never seen in my lifetime or in modern political history any presidential candidate trying to discredit the elections and the election process before votes have even taken place. It’s unprecedented.”
The “stop whining” warning comes as Trump has spent more than a week blaming the media for his failures, predicting that the November election is “rigged” (but only if he loses), and claiming that the press is involved in a conspiracy against him along with his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.
At least one fan of Donald Trump agrees with President Obama.
On Monday’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Bill O’Reilly of Fox News said the Republican presidential candidate should quit “whining” at the debate and instead focus on the major issues that matter to him.
“Stop whining. Stop that and say, ‘Look, I got three things I want to say to you tonight: bang, bang, bang,” O’Reilly told Colbert.
“It’s rigged, it’s rigged, it’s rigged,” Colbert replied, as a mock toward the GOP contender.
“That’s whining,” O’Reilly said. “He should have a little buzzer that whenever he whines — baaa!”
Politics
Donald Trump has built his entire campaign around an Us vs. Them” mentality. When the videotape was released depicting his vulgar language and image of women, Trump blamed the media instead of taking full responsibility. When multiple women came forward expressing the times Donald Trump sexually assaulted them, he blamed Hillary Clinton instead of taking full responsibility (NOTE: There is zero proof that Mrs. Clinton was at all behind these women coming forward. However, there is proof that Donald Trump brought former accusers of Bill Clinton to the 2nd debate). Despite the fact that election day is not until November 8th, Donald Trump is already preparing his supporters for a loss by claiming the election is rigged, instead of taking full responsibility for the shortcomings of his own campaign to squeak out a win.
In response to claims of voting irregularities and improprieties at polling stations, President Obama has called these claims baseless.
“Every expert, regardless of political party, regardless of ideology, conservative or liberal, who has ever examined these issues will tell you that instances of significant voter fraud are not to be found,” Mr. Obama said while pointing out that elections are run by state and local officials. “There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections, in part because it is so decentralized.”
“In Florida, for example, you’ve got a Republican governor who’s got Republican appointees who are gonna be running and monitoring a whole bunch of these election sites,” Mr. Obama said. “The notion that somehow if Mr. Trump loses Florida it’s because of ‘those people’ you have to watch out for? That is both irresponsible and, by the way, doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness that you’d want out of a president.”
Mr. Obama was not done.
“Mr. Trump’s continued flattery of Mr. Putin and the degree to which he appears to model many of his policies and approaches to politics of Mr. Putin is unprecedented in American politics,” the president said. “It is out of step not just with what Democrats think but out of step with what up until the last few months almost every Republican thought including some of the ones who are now endorsing Mr. Trump.”
His words were in response to an interview Monday when Donald Trump said Russia “can’t stand” Obama and Clinton, and if elected he would consider a possible meeting with Putin before his inauguration as president of the U.S.
“Mr. Trump rarely surprises me these days,” the president said. “I’m much more surprised and troubled by the fact you have Republican officials who historically have been adamantly anti-Russia and in fact have attacked me for even engaging them diplomatically, now supporting, in some cases echoing, his positions. It’s quite a reversal.”
In conclusion, President Obama simply added: “I’d invite Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try to make his case to get votes.”
Check and Mate!

Well said Mr. President. Very well said.
