STORM SLAMS NY…AGAIN!
A powerful nor’easter slammed the New York/New Jersey area last night, blanketing the already Superstorm Sandy ravaged area with 8 to 10 inches of snow and turning the existing devastation into a not-so-welcomed winter wonderland.
Mother Nature delivered quite a wallop with last week’s hurricane, which caused widespread utility outages, massive flooding, high winds that spread a wildfire and burned an entire community to the ground and more. Some 68,000 area residents are still 10 days without electricity and heat and were still in the process of trying to clean up the damage and pick up the pieces of their lives when yesterday’s snow blizzard hit. Now this morning, it all seems like some sort of cruel joke.
“The wind, the snow and the cold is just rubbing salt in the wounds that were already open as a result of Sandy,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Erik Pindrock. “It stinks. It’s a torture chamber,” said NY resident Freddy Ariemma. “It took us a whole week to get ready for the last storm. Now I have to get rid of all this snow.”
The snow is expected to continue throughout today, tapering off later tonight. But for the people of New York and New Jersey, they just want Mother Nature to leave them alone and go away!
If it ain't one thing it's another. Praying for that area.
