Stowaway Evades TSA On NY To Paris Flight
People are talking about the stowaway who miraculously snuck onto a flight from New York to Paris and then created a huge disturbance once she was ordered to return to her city of origin.

In what is being called the greatest magic trick of the year, 57-year-old Svetlana Dali inexplicably slipped past TSA officials at JFK Airport and boarded a Delta Airlines flight from New York to Paris — all without a ticket, a boarding pass, or a seat assignment. The fact that her magic trick happened last Tuesday during the busy Thanksgiving holiday travel might be an explanation for how she pulled it off but is hardly an excuse.
According to CBS News, the female stowaway boarded Delta Flight #265 from New York’s JFK Airport to Paris without a ticket or passport. Once the flight was airborne, she eventually caught the attention of flight attendants who noticed her going from bathroom to bathroom and staying for prolonged periods of time.
Upon landing in Paris some 6+ hours later, French officials boarded the Boeing 767-400ER and took the stowaway into custody for questioning.
“I heard them [the flight attendants] saying, like, we have a passenger who we think was hiding in the lavatory during takeoff,” passenger Rob Jackson told CBS News. “She does not have a seat. She did not have a boarding pass. And basically, she’s a stowaway.”
TSA officials later discovered that although the woman went through an advanced imaging body scanner at a checkpoint inside JFK Airport, she somehow evaded the first step of having her ID, passport, and boarding pass checked. She was also able to successfully check a bag on the flight.
“The woman without a boarding pass was physically screened without any prohibited items and then bypassed two identity verification and boarding status stations and boarded the aircraft,” a TSA spokesperson embarrassingly confirmed. How she was able to board the flight without showing a boarding pass or passport to Delta staff remains a mystery.
The stowaway had a Pennsylvania driver’s license and green card in her possession. She was booked on a return flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport on Saturday to face charges.
However, before the flight could depart, the woman caused a disturbance on the plane that delayed departure for more than 2 hours. She was eventually removed from the flight by officials and remains in French custody until they decide what to do with her.
The French Ministry of the Interior has identified the woman as a Russian national. Although US officials may charge her with trespassing, they may also revoke her green card and decide not to allow her back on US soil.

Stowaway evaded TSA; flew NY to Paris without a ticket.
I thought this for a long time, but is TSA more for show than anything? How does somebody get past them and on a plane with no ID or nothing? If this lady can do it anybody can.
