Tax Dodging Trump?
NY Times Says YES!

A scathing New York Times article is backing up Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s theory that the reason Donald Trump refuses to show his tax returns is because he doesn’t pay any. Could this be the beginning of the end for “The Donald?”

Politics
According to the “October Surprise” from the famed newspaper, Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 tax record, which has allowed him to legally skip paying federal income taxes for years. Citing tax experts, The Times said that Trump may have been using his loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income for nearly two decades. If true, this bombshell revelation would explain why Trump boasted during last week’s presidential debate “that makes me “smart” in how little he pays in taxes, as well as why he continuously refuses to release the returns.

Already struggling to bounce back from a failed debate performance in which Hillary Clinton was almost unanimously declared the winner, the Trump camp has gone into defense mode, claiming he has a “fiduciary responsibility” as a businessman to pay no more in taxes than legally required. Campaign handlers also attempted to deflect attention by saying the report proves that The New York Times and other “establishment media” operations are merely in cahoots with the Clinton campaign.

Trump himself took to Twitter on Sunday morning to say: “I know our complex tax laws better than anyone who has ever run for president and am the only one who can fix them. #failing@nytimes.”

His campaign also chimed in, saying the GOP nominee has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in other taxes, including property and real estate taxes.

“The only news here is that the more than 20-year-old alleged tax document was illegally obtained, a further demonstration that The New York Times, like establishment media in general, is an extension of the Clinton campaign, the Democratic Party, and their global special interests,” the campaign statement said.

The Clinton campaign wasted no time in responding, saying the Times’ article “reveals the colossal nature of Donald Trump’s past business failures and just how long he may have avoided paying any federal income taxes whatsoever.”

For more than a year, Donald Trump has maintained that because his tax returns are currently under audit, he has been advised by his lawyers not to release them while that process is ongoing. However, The New York Times article is adamant that Trump is purposely hiding his tax returns to prevent the voting public from learning that the self-proclaimed billionaire doesn’t pay his fair share of taxes.

As the saying goes, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”  With less than 40 days before the election, could this smoking gun of a tax scandal be the beginning of the end for Donald J. Trump?

This dangerous Fraud is rotten to the core. There is no doubt about it. Just an endless stream of lies and scams. And I suspect, by now, most Americans realize this.

Whether most American voters will vote to keep him OUT of the White House? We shall see.

As for his hardcore supporters: They don't care about any of this. He's their weapon against a political system they feel has betrayed them and their way of life (rooted in White Supremacy). Trump is their "Molotov cocktail" against that system rooted in their belief of his phony promise to "Make America Great Again" (return to White dominance and the subjugation of Black and Brown people).

Many, if not most, of his supporters would rather see this country burned to the ground than give up that dream.

Mr. BD

So he thinks being a billionaire and cheating the government out of taxes is a badge of honor to brag about? Especially since he made such a big deal about us regular folk living paycheck to paycheck not paying enough. I already knew Trump was a awful businessman for running a lot of his business into bankruptcy, but he's a awful person too. I can't wait until the election is over and this piece of crap disappears.

The Times, which hired tax experts to analyze the records, determined that “tax rules that are especially advantageous to wealthy filers would have allowed Mr. Trump to use his $916 million loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income over an 18-year period” — more than $50 million a year. For decades , the rich, Super-rich, and powerful have used their own lobbyists to write Our tax laws (via politicians on both sides of the isle) to give massive breaks to themselves, d*mn the destructive consequences to this nation and to the lives of poor and working-class Americans. .

CRONY Capitalism is at the heart of what is destroying this great country. We are quite literally being eaten alive from within.

From Cnn:
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman ordered Donald Trump's charity foundation to immediately halt fundraising in the state, following reports that it had not submitted to routine audits mandated by the state, the office announced Monday.

Excerpt:

This is a big deal.

The Washington Post has shown that Trump used the foundation for personal expenses and now we know it has been operating without proper certification.

Yes, absolutely, this is a partisan maneuver by a partisan attorney general in New York. But that does not mean Trump can get out of this. The AG is going after him because there are serious legal issues. Trump’s run for President increased his exposure and that exposure is going to do him in. [….]
