As I expressed on a related post last week: I recognize that, generally speaking, teaching can be an extremely stressful_even dangerous profession. No doubt, teaching at an alternative school for "at-risk" middle and high school students takes that pressure to a whole other level, particularly if a school is poorly managed. But when a teacher has reached this violent point, he/she has stayed too long. He/she should get out BEFORE this happens.I still believe Ms. Davis to be unfit for continuing as a teacher_as well as any other teacher who stood around watching the incident unfold. But the school should be investigated and the administration hierarchy held accountable if it's found to have been negligent in its duties and responsibilities.

I don't know but maybe we are seeing this from only one angle. Yes it looks bad to watch a grown adult teacher beat a child over and over. But I do know some of these schools are rough nowadays. Who knows what teachers have to put up with sometimes. I'm torn on this one.
