Ted Cruz ‘Sells His Soul’ To Trump
Remember all the hundreds of times Sen. Ted Cruz hated Donald Trump so much, he practically compared him to Satan himself?  Well, get ready to sing a chorus of “Kumbaya” because all of that has now miraculously changed.
Politics
On Friday, Cruz announced support for his former Republican presidential primary challenger, putting aside years of distrust and disdain between the 2 men. Did Ted Cruz effectively sell his soul to the devil with his endorsement? Not on your life!
Last week in a bold attempt to salvage the fractured and continuously crumbling Republican Party, RNC chairman Reince Priebus laid down the law to all Republicans with this edict: Support Trump now, or face the RNC’s wrath later. His threat was primarily aimed at Ohio’s Gov. John Kasich and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who have each made a public spectacle out of NOT backing their party’s presidential nominee. However, Kasich and Cruz are far from being the only holdouts. At least 13 GOP officials and candidates running for office this year have refused to support Donald Trump. Scores of former Republican officials and officeholders who have already left politics have also refused to support Trump.  If that wasn’t enough, each of the living Republicans who were President of the United States and each of the living former GOP presidential nominees also joined the “NeverTrump” movement. With these numbers, threats from Priebus are empty and all but useless.
So, why did Ted Cruz  take the bait?  It’s all about the future.
Make no mistake about it, Ted Cruz did not jump on the Donald Trump bandwagon because he suddenly believes “The Donald” is the perfect person to be president. Â No! Â He did it because he wants the nomination for himself in 2020.
If Ted Cruz were to remain a Trump holdout, the RNC could make it very difficult for him in his all but certain 2nd run for the presidency. Cruz can’t afford to lose the entire party structure, so he’s simply playing along with their game.  He still hates Donald Trump to the core.  He still thinks Trump is completely unfit to be president. He just has to “pretend” to like Trump for the next 42 days. Then, when Trump loses on November 7th, Ted Cruz can revert back to his utter disdain for the real estate mogul and successfully launch his own run for the nomination — all with the complete backing of the Republican National Committee.
So, until then, enjoy Ted Cruz straddling the Trump fence while trying to save face. Â His first day as a surrogate for the Trump campaign was worth watching for the sheer entertainment value alone.
When asked how he could launch enormously bitter attacks against Trump only a few short months ago, then find himself stumping for the very man he made clear he despises, Cruz said “I have had many, many disagreements with Donald Trump. And some of them you’ve catalogued,” but “I don’t think it’s productive to criticize the Republican nominee today.” When asked if he still believes Trump is unfit to be president, Cruz went silent. Â Hmmm…
Does this sound like a man who seriously believes in the presidential nominee of his party, or a man with an agenda for his own professional future?

All of them are a bunch of wussies. They don't even know what they stand for as a party anymore. No kind of backbone.
