TEENS STOP SMOKING AND DRINKING
Smoking cigarettes and drinking cheap liquor used to be the way teens rebelled against childhood and tried to seem older. But now, both of those guilty pleasures have taken a back seat among today’s youth.
Teens are putting the booze and cigs away for what they consider to be a better alternative — marijuana!
Weed use among America’s teens is sharply up, while tobacco, beer, wine and alcohol use is way down. Today’s youth differ greatly from previous generations, in that they find the acquired taste of alcohol unpleasant and the taste and smell of tobacco disgusting. Teens say the natural high of marijuana is considered safer, healthier and more euphoric than tobacco. They also note weed use is harder to detect by police versus alcohol blood levels.
