Is the shopping site TEMU a rip-off that is secretly stealing your money and info?
Current Events :
In case you’re unfamiliar, TEMU is the new China-based shopping site that has been selling luxury clothes and goods at extremely discounted prices. However, several “shoppers” are discovering that after using the site, their credit cards had been hacked and their identities had been stolen and sold on the dark web.
According to TikTok user Dimples Queen (dimplesqueennini), she followed the social media trend to shop for unbelievable bargains on the popular site. She couldn’t believe how much merchandise she was able to buy for very little money — until American Express called her to advise that hundreds of dollars of fraudulent international charges had been charged to her card and that they were forced to turn her card off to prevent a further breach.
Check out her story in the video below. Since some things really are too good to be true, perhaps it’s best to NOT do any shopping with China’s TEMU.
THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
