Regular readers may recall that I shared the personal info that I am gay. However, please don't mistake me for a "man hater."

I love men in the most healthy and heartfelt way. In fact, there are 2 men in my life today (one straight, one gay) who have been as dear to me FOR YEARS as True friends could possibly be.

My maternal grandfather (deceased) was my heart. Now there was good man. Not a perfect man (no such thing). But a genuinely good man. And my brother and I were like 2-sides of the same coin. He died much too young but I am grateful to have had him in my life at all. Just to highlight a few men who've had an incredibly positive impact on my life.

The issue of women who yield control of their lives over to authoritarian men is NOT limited to the "Straight" world.

Certainly in the Gay Black Lesbian community we have our share of "Dominant Aggressive" women who are also authoritarian in personality. They rule the lives of less dominant/ more submissive type women.

As a gay Black female, I'm actually more disheartened by this revelation than knowing it's true of the straight world.

That said……………

Those sick-azz male lawmakers didn't vote themselves into office. The truth is, in far too many states across this country it is WOMEN who are to blame for this madness. Far too many are complacent or just plain weak. WE have failed ourselves and our daughters by not fighting back against those men. WE have "yielded control over Our body -and Our right to choose, " via strict laws and an extremely low lack of clinics"

Look at the fool sitting in the White House. An admitted sexual predator. And still, he even won the educated White women's vote!?! You cannot make this stuff up.

It's just a sad fact, that far too many women – American woman – don't mind their lives being controlled by men.
