House Speaker John Boehner felt the wrath of First Lady Michelle Obama during a post-inaugural luncheon, in an eye roll that has now been seen around the world.
Word on the street is that Boehner, a habitual chain smoker, asked the president if he was able to have a cigarette prior to the inauguration. Knowing that the president quit smoking altogether, Boehner then supposedly said “I know somebody won’t let you do it,” referring to Mrs. Obama’s displeasure with the president’s former habit, which brought on the eye roll.
Boehner claims he has no idea what he said to seemingly set Mrs. Obama off, but whatever it was definitely prompted the FLOTUS to give him the side eye — and gave us all a good laugh.
