Recently, passengers aboard an Allegiant Airlines jet were stuck on the tarmac at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport — for an hour and a half without food, water or air conditioning — in temperatures upward of 100 degrees. For most, these conditions would have been catastrophic…but this very special group of passengers, it was like a family reunion.
Instead of becoming belligerent and confrontational, a lone traveler simply broke out a boom box and began blaring R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” throughout the aircraft. Seizing the lighthearted moment, one by one passengers began to chime in, until the entire plane was singing along at full voice.
It just goes to show that sometimes when life gives you lemons, you simply make lemonade.
