TGIF: Mother/Daughter Reunite 50 Years After ‘Death’
Imagine a mother giving birth to a baby, only to be told by nurses that the baby died just after childbirth. Now, imagine that same mother finding out nearly 50 years later that not only was her child very much alive, but she was actively looking for her mother.
Lifestyle
This is not a fairytale, but is the real life story of 76-year-old Zella Jackson-Price, who had no idea that her now 49-year-old daughter Melanie Diane Gilmore, was alive and well and living in Oregon.
After Jackson-Price was erroneously told her newborn daughter was dead, Gilmore was adopted into a new family. She became deaf after a bout with measles at age 3 and never knew the identity of the woman who physically gave birth to her. Gilmore was able to locate her real mother only after her own children spearheaded an online campaign to find their biological grandparents. Now, both are enjoying their first Mother’s Day weekend together.
Prepare for tears as you take a look at the joyous reunion between a mother and the daughter she is ecstatic to know did not die.
THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
