TGIF: ‘The Tonight Show’ Moving to NYC?
Here we go again! It looks like Jay Leno is about to be out (again) at NBC.
Low ratings combined with a reinvigorated feud between Jay and his NBC bosses, with Jay calling them all “snakes” earlier this week, has NBC thinking maybe it’s time to send Jay back into retirement.
Word out of Hollywood is that NBC’s “Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon will replace Jay next year as host of the iconic “The Tonight Show.” Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels will produce and the show will be moved back to its original home of New York City. NBC is said to be secretly building a brand new studio at 30 Rockefeller Center in NYC for the new show.
NBC replaced Jay a few years ago with Conan O’Brien, in a messy divorce that ended with Conan being fired and Jay being rehired. Will the network handle things better this time around?
THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
