Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are no more.
On Monday, their storybook marriage ended in a tumultuous divorce, only 9 months after a public spat and auto accident on Thanksgiving night revealed Woods had carried on multiple extramarital affairs.
Shortly after the divorce was finalized and made public, Tiger and Elin issued the following statement: “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
The judgment from the Bay County Florida Circuit Court, allows for “shared parenting of their two children,” according to the attorneys.
While details of the divorce settlement are confidential, the former Mr. and Mrs. Woods have asked for privacy from the press and the public as they “adjust to a new family situation.”
