Tiger Woods was arguably one of the best golfers in the history of the sport. Now, he is out of the top 50 in the world golf rankings for the first time in nearly 15 years.
Woods, who hasn’t won in nearly 2 years, dropped from the top 50 on Sunday at St. Andrews, Scotland. Woods was at the end of a streak of 778 consecutive weeks inside the top 50, dating to when he was No. 61 on Oct. 13, 1996. But that is no more.
A series of personal setbacks, including numerous adulterous affairs and a highly publicized divorce, sent Woods’ career into a tail-spin. Since then, he has failed to reignite his career and regain notoriety.
