Tillerson Fired By Trump; More Ousters To Come
On Tuesday, Donald Trump fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson via Twitter, then giddily bragged that more ousters were on the horizon. Why is Trump the last to know that he’s not draining the swamp, but merely redecorating it?

“The Donald” has long claimed that he likes controversy and discourse amongst members of his administration. He has also alleged that by hearing differing opinions he is able to reach a clearer and more concise decision. However, his firing of Tillerson proves those words are hogwash and a bunch of BS.
Rex Tillerson was one of the few people inside the Trump administration who was qualified and actually knew what he was doing. He regularly made rational decisions in the best interest of US foreign policy and always told the truth. However, it was those positive qualities that eventually led to his dismissal. Rightfully calling Trump a “Moron” and joining the rest of the world in blaming Russia for the poisoning of a spy on British soil also had something to do with it.
Donald Trump likes to shift opinions with the wind. For example, he could have one opinion by morning, then do a complete 180 degrees about-face by the afternoon and never blink an eye (similar to his complete reversal on raising the minimum age to purchase a gun, following the Florida school shooting). Well, foreign policy and international diplomacy don’t exactly work that way. They require complex and thought-provoking decision making — something Trump abhors.
Trump’s style is to lead from the gut. He hates homework, rarely prepares for anything, and completely disregards expert advice. However, the thought of winging it is not at all the approach to take when dealing with intricate international affairs, and Tillerson knew it — which is why he is out of a job today.
“I’m really at a point where we’re getting very close to having the Cabinet and other things that I want,” Trump told reporters Tuesday.
During his exit remarks, Tillerson thanked the American people, his State Department staff and the nation’s network of diplomats, but very obviously skipped thanking Donald Trump.
For his part, Trump was flippant regarding his fired State Department chief.
“I think Rex will be much happier now,” Trump said.
Politics
Rex Tillerson wanted to do things the RIGHT way, but Trump wanted to do things the WILD way. For example, Tillerson wanted to follow diplomatic channels prior to agreeing to a meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, whereas Trump wanted to jump right in without preparation or a clue about what he was doing. His desire to follow an unorthodox approach is why Attorney General Jeff Sessions, White House chief of staff John Kelly, Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin, and national security adviser H.R. McMaster are on the clock and in jeopardy of being “next” on the Trump chopping block.
In TRUMPWORLD the rules are clear:
– Donald Trump is KING!
– Trump is THE expert and knows ALL!
– No one may ever DARE question the method to Trump’s madness.
– No one may ever DARE say ANYTHING bad about Russia!
– No matter what, Trump is ALWAYS RIGHT and everyone else is “Fake News” and crazy!
One can only guess now the Yes-Men Trump will fill the West Wing with next.
Trump’s style is to lead from the gut. […] And yet he has shown us time and time again what a Gutless schmuck he is. (i.e. the way he fired Comey and Tillerson). Trump is a pitifully WEAK man’s version of a “tough” guy. Re; Rex Tillerson I agree with DJ…Rex seems to be an honest person, at least in his assessment of the president being a babbling “Moron” AND his criticism of Russia. But Rex knew who he’d be working for BEFORE he took the job. In fact, he admittedly didn’t want to take it at first but was talked into it by his wife who suggested that “God” wanted him to do it. Most reporting indicates that as Sec. of State, Rex has pretty much “wrecked” the State Department by making drastic cuts to the budget and the staff, which could lead to a major National Security problem.… Read more »
