I thought it was brilliant. Very well written. Very well executed. And I like that he took the high road with the a**hole who called him a liar. They hate him cuz he's just that good. Go Barack!

Joe Wilson_another fine example of what passes for GOP representation these days: It’s at least good to hear that Democrats and A FEW Republicans are denouncing his blatantly disrespectful behavior on full display last night. Yes, I know he’s apologized _and the President graciously accepted his apology. But the fact that Wilson felt comfortable in showing such public disrespect towards the President in the first place speaks volumes about the kind of ignorant-azz Opposition the President is facing-and will face_every day of his Presidency.Note: I'm NOT suggesting for a minute that the President's policies should never be opposed. There is a Civil way to do so based on the merits of the issue being debated. It's NOT personal. In the case of Wilson and those who behave like him_they appear to be motivated by ignorance and hate. Thankfully, I believe the President is more than up to the job of looking BEYOND those people and getting on with attending to “The Peoples” business.

"O" last night and IMO, he did what he needed to do_he came to life, got off the ropes and knocked the sh*t (intellectually and rhetorically speaking) out of his opponents. He made the case for limited but strong AND responsible government. It was a straight up NO chaser…Just. The. Facts…kind of speech that is required to expose oppositional BS for what it is_utter BS wrapped in ignorance, corruption and dishonesty. The speech was delivered in such a way that even the most feeble-minded_and fair minded_person could: 1) understand the seriousness of the issue and 2) know that the President is NOT about playing games with the lives of the American people. REAL healthcare reform is desperately needed to improve a woefully broken system with skyrocketing costs that’s certain to eventually take everybody down with it_the insured as well as the uninsured. I believe he has_for now_resumed command of the issue and that he MUST maintain command of it if he is to be successful in achieving his goal. The truth is, I've always felt that the Pres. is going to achieve meaningful healthcare reform. But I must admit that I feel a lot more Confident of that now!
