I agree with Truth that was incredible. Brought a tear to my eye. That man was a slave for 32 years but got a education and was smart enough to ask for his back pay or else he wasn't going nowhere. Wow. Thanks for posting this DJ..

Incredible. Thanks so much for posting this DJ! I had never seen, or heard of, it before. I will certainly share this letter with others. Also related to *Black History Month,*…. I'd like to see the movie "Red Tails": "the new George Lucas film depicting the valiant Tuskegee Airmen." While I commend Mr. Lucas for bringing this story to the big screen there's been a little push back regarding his failure to include the monumental contributions of THREE women who, if it had not been for them, there probably would NOT have been a Tuskegee Airmen's story to write about. Those 3 ladies are Mary McLeod Bethune and Willa Beatrice Brown (both Black-Americans) and the first lady Eleanor Roosevelt (wife of Pres. Franklin Roosevelt). I plan to begin reading the entire history this coming weekend. H/T: TheRoot.comHenry Louis Gates Jr: "3 Women 'Red Tails' Left Out"http://www.theroot.com/views/three-women-red-tail…
