ATTENTION RACISTS: Tommy Tuberville has brazenly said the quiet part out loud and effectively given a green light to racists everywhere that it’s OK to come out of the woodwork and be out, loud, and proud.

Racism :
On Saturday, Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama was the opening act for Donald Trump during an overwhelmingly white MAGA rally in Minden, Nevada. At some point, the Trump sycophant decided it was high time to say what he means and mean what he says — so, he went on a minutes-long racist tirade that was so divisive, even the Ku Klux Klan may have felt he went too far.

During his warmup remarks, Tommy Tuberville somehow segued into the topic of “reparations” and how Blacks dare to believe they’re entitled to money due to decades of slavery involving their ancestors. He then connected Democrats to the idea of reparations and claimed they all support it because they’re all “pro-crime.”

“No, they’re not soft on crime, they’re PRO-crime. They want crime!” Tuberville told the cheering, White MAGA audience while using the general term “they” to refer to Democrats and Blacks.

They want crime because they want to take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparations because they think the people that do the crime are owed that,” Tuberville added. “Bullshit! They are not owed that.”

Tommy Tuberville then went on to call for an end to food stamps, education reform, and closing the border by taking “our” country back.

“We’re going to take our country back and we’re going to straighten up education and we’re going to close the border,” Tuberville said. “We’re going to get inflation under control, and we’re going to stop this damn crime.”

Needless to say, the Tommy Tuberville tirade has drawn deep criticism from all angles.

“Connecting reparations with people who commit crimes is outrageous and way beyond a dog whistle,” Dean Obeidallah said in a CNN editorial.

CNN anchor and senior political correspondent Abby Phillip called it “straight-up racism from a sitting United States senator,” adding that Tuberville was clearly “talking to white voters about their own preconceived notions of Black people being responsible for crime and not deserving anything as a result.”

MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough compared the Alabama senator and his comments to the rhetoric of civil rights-era segregationists George Wallace and Lester Maddox.

In a statement, NAACP President Derrick Johnson called Tuberville’s comments “flat-out racist, ignorant, and utterly sickening.”

“His words promote a centuries-old lie about Black people that throughout history has resulted in the most dangerous policies and violent attacks on our community,” Johnson added.

His comments should have come as a shock to no one, particularly since Sen. Tommy Tuberville has a long and sordid history of bigotry and taking aim at “go-to targets” the GOP loves to demonize.

Like Donald Trump, Tuberville has claimed immigrants brought “drugs” and “diseases” to US shores. He concocted his own reality regarding the Muslim community and claimed you “can’t drive through a neighborhood (in certain cities). Why? Because terrorism has taken over. Sharia law has taken over.” He even took aim at the LGBTQ community by posting on Facebook: “Hard to believe that right in my own backyard the city of Opelika allows drag queens in the city Christmas Parade which was held this weekend. What is next?”

He continued his LGBTQ bash by announcing (incorrectly) that the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A will no longer donate to charities that are under fire from LGBTQ activists

“Isn’t it horrible when liberal activists ruin something good?” he said.

Although the media dropped their collective jaws in shock at the racist rhetoric that spewed from the mouth of Tommy Tuberville, Blacks, gays, and other minority groups recognized his evil ugliness as him just being himself.

Or, in other words, Sen. Tuberville simply said the quiet part out loud — and effectively exposed himself as the rambling and pathetic racist that he is.

Often times, I shudder to think that a major part of my family heritage is deeply rooted in the state of Alabama. The only state worse in my eyes is Mississippi and thankfully my family has absolutely NO connection to that waste land of a state.

But I digress…..smh!

When I first heard about this nonsense over the weekend my first thought was “Well naturally he said it. Racist politicking and Alabama go together like a hand and glove. It always has.”

Tuberville was channeling his own version of George Wallace’s “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever” speech that Wallace (another proud Alabamian) gave during his 1963 inaugural address after being elected governor “receiving more votes than any previous Alabama gubernatorial candidate.”

Mr.BD

This fool thought it was 1960 all over again the way he was talking. He was stirring up the old school race talk sounding just like George Wallace from back in the day.
