Toni Morrison was a national treasure, as good a storyteller, as captivating, in person as she was on the page. Her writing was a beautiful, meaningful challenge to our conscience and our moral imagination. What a gift to breathe the same air as her, if only for a while. pic.twitter.com/JG7Jgu4p9t

And let the Church say Aaamen!
I was introduced to the works of Ms. Morrison by Oprah Winfrey via the film adaptation, “Beloved” – and then the novel. Since hearing of her passing a few days ago, I’ve read a bit about life-story and watched several of her interviews which can be found on Youtube.
She was a remarkable woman with a remarkable gift and was indeed “a national treasure.”
Rest in Peace.
