Trump and Giuliani Cases Take Center Stage

Spread The Love

Two separate Trump and Giuliani cases have taken the legal world by storm for their bold and blatant dismissal of not only the law but also common sense.

Politics :
We all know Donald Trump committed myriad crimes during his time in the Oval Office. We also know Rudy Giuliani aided and abetted him as his “lawyer” to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election.

Now, Trump and Giuliani are each about to face the music for their actions in ways that border on the comical. Let’s take a look at the latest Trump and Giuliani antics and the repercussions that could follow:

Trump and Giuliani

In hopes of wiggling his way out of the cases special counsel Jack Smith has brought against him in a District of Columbia courtroom, Donald Trump introduced a rather interesting defense: presidential immunity.

Yes, Trump now says that his actions to subvert the 2020 election were all part of his duties as “president,” which makes him immune to prosecution.

Jack Smith

Special counsel Jack Smith called the Trump defense ludicrous and has taken the case all the way to the US Supreme Court for a quick resolution.

According to The New York Times, Smith has petitioned the high court to consider if the Constitution confers absolute immunity on a former president against a federal prosecution for crimes he committed while in office.

In his small mind, Donald Trump believes (and is arguing) that a president has carte blanche to do effectively whatever he wants while in office. His argument is comical on 2 different levels.

First, no president of the United States has the legal license to do “whatever” while in office. Not only would that be unconstitutional, but it would negate the 3 branches of government set up by the founding fathers.

Additionally, if the Supreme Court justices were to decide in Trump’s favor and rule that a president is immune to the law for his actions while in office, that ruling would also apply to the sitting President of the United States, Joe Biden.

Or, in other words, Trump would win the argument — but he’d also inadvertently hand President Biden the immediate authority to do “whatever” as well. Mr. Biden would be able to act as a dictator and even bring down the hammer on Trump himself — all with legal immunity.

Oh, Trump. Be careful what you wish for!

Not only is Rudy Giuliani being charged with helping Donald Trump overturn the results of the 2020 election, but he’s also the subject of a defamation lawsuit by 2 former Georgia election workers.

Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman

Following Trump’s surprising Georgia loss in the 2020 election, Giuliani targeted election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss by claiming that the mother-daughter duo “tampered” with ballots and cheated, which turned a Trump win into a loss.

Not only did a federal judge already rule that Giuliani spread false information about the 2 ladies, but the former election workers also filed a defamation lawsuit against Giuliani for jeopardizing their safety and ruining their lives.

Giuliani showed up to court earlier this week and appeared before a jury to decide if the defamation lawsuit brought by Freeman and Moss was viable and, if so, how much Giuliani would need to pay the women in damages.

However, CNN reported that after arriving at court to answer the defamation charges, Giuliani immediately defamed the 2 women yet again to a sea of reporters gathered outside the court.

When asked by a reporter if he had any regrets about his past words against Freeman and Moss, Giuliani was defiant.

“Of course, I don’t regret it,” Giuliani barked. “I told the truth. They were engaged in changing votes.”

When the reporter reminded him there was no proof of such an allegation, Giuliani said: “Oh you’re damn right there is. Stay tuned.”

So, to recap: Rudy Giuliani showed up to court to deny defaming 2 former election workers. Except, moments after leaving court, he defamed them once again. His words not only went against a previous court order to remain silent, but effectively handed the jury proof of his guilt and created the potential for a new defamation charge and lawsuit.

Now, Freeman and Moss are seeking tens of millions of dollars in damages, saying their lives were put in danger and they suffered emotional and reputational harm after Giuliani singled them out with his false claims of ballot tampering in Georgia.

In response, Giuliani remained defiant. However, he acknowledged that a successful defamation lawsuit ruling against him would cause him irreparable financial ruin. Perhaps he should have considered the ramifications of his words before opening his mouth.

When it comes to Trump and Giuliani, you really can’t make this stuff up, folks!

Yessiree! You can always count on these two dangerous clowns to prove there is absolutely NO bottom to the dark pit within each of them.

None.

Trump never had to follow rules a day in his life so I already know he is crazy. But Giuliani is crazy and stupid to follow behind Trump. This man was sitting on top of the world after 9-11. Then he got caught up with Trump. Going to trial for defamation but defaming the people again right there is stupid on another level.

We were talking at the office today about the Supreme Court case on Trump. Their decision could take him all the way down before the election.
