Donald Trump has pulled a number of stunts in his day. However, his latest stunt — a Trump COVID Parade on Sunday — was truly the last straw for many Americans.
Top News Today
Early Friday morning, Trump announced via Twitter that he and Melania each tested positive for COVID-19. By late Friday afternoon, he was reportedly running a high fever and experiencing shortness of breath, prompting his White House doctor to airlift him to Walter Reed Medical Center for treatment and the standard 14-day quarantine.
Over the weekend, a team of doctors delivered what many are calling a “political spin” medical report to journalists — complete with holes in the story regarding the exact timeline of when Trump tested positive, how his condition appeared to deteriorate so rapidly all within a single day, as well as the current state of his condition. Following Trump’s orders, the doctors (admittedly) lied and attempted to present a picture to the public that Trump’s condition was much better than they were letting on.
However, it was White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows who took the high road and alerted the press that Trump’s condition was critical. “He’s not out of the woods for the next 48 hours or so,” Meadows told journalists off-the-record.
Well, the egotistical Donald Trump was livid at his right-hand man for daring to tell the truth to the public. So, he concocted a Trump COVID Parade to discount Meadows’ words and make his illness seem like some crazy facade.
In a propaganda move straight out of communist Russia or North Korea designed to make things appear better than they actually were, Trump left his hospital bed, climbed into an SUV with a driver and Secret Service detail, then drove up and down the road just outside Walter Reed for a photo-op to wave at his adoring MAGA followers who’ve been keeping 24-hour vigil since Friday night.
Yes, a mere 48 hours after being admitted into hospital for COVID-19, the HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS and still very ill Donald Trump was out and about staging a Trump COVID Parade. Or, in other words, Trump willfully put the health and the lives of his driver and Secret Service detail in jeopardy all for the sake of stroking his own ego.
Of course, all this comes after Trump hosted a huge party both inside and outside The White House last week to celebrate his nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the US Supreme Court. Once multiple Senators, White House staffers, and GOP operatives (including advisors Kelly Anne Conway and Hope Hicks, former NJ Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, and others) all contracted the coronavirus, it became abundantly clear that this White House gala with hundreds of invited guests was the super-spreader event that took everyone down.
As expected, the Ringling Brothers Circus-like Trump COVID Parade was not at all well received outside of Trumpworld and left many Americans fuming. However, no one was angrier than Dr. James P. Phillips, an attending physician to the president inside Walter Reed Medical Center, who publicly took Donald Trump to task for yet again failing to take the virus and its ramifications seriously.
“Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14-days,” he tweeted. “They may get sick. They may die. All for political theater,” he added in disbelief.

Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.

That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play.

Soon after, Americans took to social media and commented en masse against the frivolous and self-serving act of a man who clearly cares only about himself.
“Sending my best wishes to the Secret Service agent driving the active COVID patient in a car with the windows rolled up,” tweeted Rosie Gray. “The agents in the car with him… my God,” said Rick Wilson. “I continue to be amazed, even four years into this, at not just Trump’s pathological narcissism but the way those around him (doctors, staffers) continually indulge it, even when it means putting others and himself at greater risk,” added Eli Stokols.

The members of the @SecretService presidential protective division do serve to risk their lives for the president.
But not in this frivolous way.
Trump is a deeply psychologically unwell man.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump released a video of himself (supposedly from inside Walter Reed), boasting that he now “gets it” when it comes to the coronavirus.
“It’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn’t the ‘let’s read the books’ school,” Trump said in his Twitter video. “And I get it, and I understand it, and it’s a very interesting thing, and I’m going to be letting you know about it.”
However, the moment he hopped into his SUV and recklessly put others lives in danger just for the sake of his ill-advised Trump COVID Parade, one thing was clear: Donald Trump has learned NOTHING and is still the same old self-centered egomaniac he was less than a week ago during the debate.
Is Donald Trump legitimately sick with the coronavirus? Are these early days of his illness only providing false hope for harder days yet to come? Or, is it possible Trump is staging his illness for some trick move up his sleeve just in time to tilt the election in his favor?

Well now THAT is the million dollar question isn’t it (?)
Let me say this. If it is all a hoax there are a slew of people “in high places” in on it. People like Chris Christie, 3 Repub Senators AND the doctors at Walter Reed Hospital who have quite a lot to lose if it’s discovered any of them knowingly played any part in such an insidiously traitorous plot.
Here’s what I believe. Trump really is infected. Frankly I think he’s a superspreader. And I believe he’s probably sicker than he wants the public to know. Thankfully leakers in the White House have been keeping the Us (the America people) informed of the truth thru the media. And even Mark Meadows has let a bit of the cat out of the bag which is why Trump is furious with him.
