Trump Donor: ‘I Want My Money Back!’
A Trump donor who gave millions to ‘The Donald’ for his wacky voter fraud conspiracy claim has a message for the once-mighty MAGA leader now sulking in the Oval Office: “I want my money back!”
Politics
North Carolina businessman Fredric Eshelman donated $2.5 million to Donald Trump so that he could file lawsuits in 7 swing states and expose widespread vote fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The money was funneled via True the Vote, a pro-Trump “election ethics” group out of Texas as part of its drive to “investigate, litigate, and expose suspected illegal balloting and fraud in the 2020 general election”.
Now, the top Trump donor wants his money back due to what he says has been “disappointing results” and a lack of viable proof.
Eshelman, who owns a successful venture capital company, said he asked the Trump team “regularly and repeatedly” for updates, but his “requests were consistently met with vague responses, platitudes, and empty promises.”
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why.
To date, not only has Trump’s attorneys lost 30+ federal court cases in their quest to overturn the election results, but they’ve failed to present even a portion of proof of the alleged “widespread fraud.” Additionally, True the Vote has since dropped its legal actions and discontinued its Validate the Vote 2020 campaign. They’ve also refused to return Eshelman’s calls or his money, prompting the fed up Trump donor to file a lawsuit.
“While we stand by the voters’ testimony that was brought forth, barriers to advancing our arguments, coupled with constraints on time, made it necessary for us to pursue a different path,” True the Vote said in a statement designed to justify their actions. The group then said it has since withdrawn legal filings in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — all states won by President-elect Joe Biden.
“Our mission is much bigger than just one election. It is about repairing the system for all future elections,” the group added. Hmmm…
Since losing the election on November 3rd, Donald Trump has raised a whopping $170 million toward his bogus “Stop The Steal” conspiracy campaign. The money is simply sitting in a political slush fund for Trump to either use for future political endeavors or to simply put in his pocket and walk away.
Interestingly, the lawsuit from the wealthy Trump donor was not the only bad news for ‘The Donald’ this week. On Tuesday, Attorney General and frequent Trump lapdog William Barr surprised the world by admitting there was no voter fraud and that Trump’s claims are baseless and should end.
With a pot of gold worth $170 million (and growing) and wealthy donors willing to hand over millions just to appease him and stroke his fragile ego over the loss, it’s probably a safe bet that the money-starved Donald Trump will continue cranking out his “Voter Fraud” tune until the cash cows run dry.
DJ, my friend, you are batting a hundred with these posts this week…Lol. Was hoping you’d jump on this story…and AGAIN you did not disappoint!

Indeed that is exactly what he plans to do- “simply put in his pocket and walk away.”
