Trump Election Challenges Denied, Says Supreme Court

Spread The Love

The Donald Trump election challenges have all failed. We are finally at the end of the line.

Top News Today
From baseless court cases to multiple recounts to acts of intimidation and attempts to strongarm election officials into handing him a win, Donald Trump has run into one brick wall of defeat after another. Now, finally, it’s over!

Last week, Trump telephoned Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp and blatantly demanded that he reverse the election results and cheat on his behalf. He was refused.

Over the weekend, ‘The Donald’ turned his efforts to Pennsylvania’s Republican House speaker and pressured him to overturn the results of his state. He was swiftly dismissed.

Trump Election Challenges

This week, Trump and the Pennsylvania Republican Party petitioned the US Supreme Court to overturn the election results in that state. On Tuesday night, the 9 justices collectively issued a one-sentence ruling: Request denied.

There were no dissents.

“Judicial acquiescence to such entreaties built on so flimsy a foundation would do indelible damage to every future election,” Justice Brian Hagedorn of the Wisconsin Supreme Court said of the failed Trump election challenges. “This is a dangerous path we are being asked to tread.”

“Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy,” said US Circuit Court Judge Stephanos Bibas. “Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.

“Voters, not lawyers, choose the president,” he added. “Ballots, not briefs, decide elections.”

If all that wasn’t already enough, the clock has simply run out on the Trump election challenges.

Trump Election Challenges

On Tuesday night, the US reached what is known as the “safe harbor” deadline. This is the date where all state-level election challenges, including recounts and audits, are required to be completed. The Trump campaign failed to provide any legitimate legal challenge against any state certification, which clears the way for the Electoral College to officially declare Joe Biden the winner when they meet on Monday, December 14th.

The many Donald Trump election challenges have been nothing more than an attempted coup on democracy and a ploy to seize the presidency for his own personal gain. Thankfully, government and election officials stayed strong. Democracy prevailed. The US Supreme Court upheld the law.

“Madness,” Romney told reporters on Tuesday. “This is madness. We have a process. Recounts are appropriate. Going to the court is appropriate. Pursuing every legal avenue is appropriate. But trying to get electors not to do what the people voted to do is madness.” – The Hill, 12-9-20

This is madness. We have a process. Recounts are appropriate. Going to the court is appropriate When You Have Evidence of Fraud. Pursuing every legal avenue is appropriate, When You Have Evidence of Fraud. But trying to get electors not to do what the people voted to do is madness.

There. Fixed it.

All this time Trump was counting on the judges he appointed to save him. But they all shut him down even the Supreme court. He has nowhere else left to go now. When the electoral college confirms Biden on Monday I wonder how many Repubs will finally admit Joe won.
